Volunteering
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at The Js Charity.
From supporting our monthly events to helping with community fundraising, every hour you give helps us reach more young adults across Essex living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.Whether you're chatting with families at a Js Day, joining us on a day out, collecting donations on a high street, or delivering leaflets in your local area — your support brings people together and makes our work possible.

how you can help
Volunteering that fits you
There are lots of ways to get involved, and we’ll help you find something that suits your time, interests, and confidence. Some of our volunteers join us regularly at events, while others help occasionally with fundraising efforts like bucket collections in supermarkets, community stalls, or local leaflet drops.
No experience? No problem. All we ask is a friendly attitude, a bit of your time, and a willingness to get involved. We provide guidance, materials, and any training you may need.

Why It Matters
Every Js Day, every Away Day, every smile — they’re all made possible by people like you. By volunteering with us, you’re helping reduce isolation, bring joy, and create a supportive community for young adults and their families.
